How the Body reacts to the Mind
For every conscious or unconscious thought we have, there are feelings associated with them, because the neural network of our brain is like a three-dimensional model of associations. If we think of a refrigerator we may think of “cold” which may trigger memories of times when we felt cold, which in turn may trigger memories of when we were happy such as when we may have been skiing or memories of a scary time when there was no energy to heat your home.
When we feel a certain way we associate that to an emotion like being sad, happy, joyous, etc. which in turn results in an automated response from our body to produce the chemical reactions in our body to match that emotional state like increased adrenalin if your excited, increased serotonin if you are happy, etc.
As we experience the physical reaction of our body to match our feelings and emotions, it then provides confirmation for our mind that it must be perceiving reality correctly as the state of our body is confirming what it thinks must really be true.
As such, it is key that we become conscious of what we think and believe, so that the resulting changes in our body that are based on those beliefs will match what we truly desire.
Just Do It - Start
One of the best ways to begin a personal transformation, is by starting to work on your health.
The key is to START. If you do one walk per week, when you did none before, you have started. In life there is no way to take STEP 2 before you have taken STEP 1. So just take STEP 1, whatever positive step that may be. :)
